Make this vacation special with yoga on the side, because you don’t want to come back home tired and just a little more robbed of finances.

Yoga, it is the journey of the self to the Self, through the self. Confounding as it may sound, it is singularly the most inward looking and self-sustenance oriented way, recognized today as an important alternative lifestyle in all spheres. Mixing the pleasures of vacationing off familiar shores with yoga to up your spirits can be especially rejuvenating in India- the yoga motherland where many streams of ancient wisdom flow into the mix.

While a lot of yoga enthusiasts go off track in their practice, misconstruing yoga to be focused upon physical fitness only, a visit to India can bring back the emphasis rightly on the importance of yoga in spiritual life and clear the mind to experience something higher and more profound.

A Comprehensive Introduction to Asanas

While the global phenomenon of yoga has given this art of living a much-needed exposure, the traditional vein has been lost in the fray of newfangled styles like power yoga and the likes. With a weeklong retreat or a month of yoga ttc in Kerala, in the southern coastal hub of India’s yoga heritage, you can get introduced to the roots.

Hatha and Ashtanga- the two main yoga subsets that have its lineage in the seminal yoga text, that of Patanjali’s Sutras are featured prominently in retreats of Kerala. With a comprehensive but slowly paced introduction to Hatha and Ashtanga yogasanas over your week of retreat, your body will sufficiently loosen up as will your mind.

Meditation, Peace, and Getting Back Your Focus

Meditation is an integral part of the yoga system but modern life has no time to spare for taking a break of silence to introspect and reorder. Taking a retreat of yoga can help you find time to catch up with yourself.

Guided meditation and peace practices make up a few major sessions in the retreat which will ease you into the practice and build yourself a meditative faculty. Prana or breath is the vital instrument in finding peace according to yoga and you will be initiated into an awareness practice revolving around the persistence of breath, helping you come out a new person with a vitalized sense of self and acute mind focus.

Communing with Like-minded Yoga Folks

Yoga retreating in the birth land is a doorway to advanced avenues of yoga practice like a yoga teacher training in Kerala in which the knowledge of Ayurveda and yoga come together in a fine unison. More exploration of the world of yoga comes with the chance to commune with like-minded practitioners and peace seekers that you meet on a retreat. What a great way to find new friends and share the good vibrations!

Knowing India from Close Quarters

To the Western mind, India has been a land of mysticism forever. The colorful culture, the diversity and vibrancy in its celebration of life, and its sense of spirituality which is all-encompassing, is like a puzzle that could never be quite grasped. On a retreat or a yoga teacher training in India, these qualities will be for you to explore. Punctuating the discipline of practice, there are many cultural trips slotted in in this program. Hope you get a taste of the mystic!

Finding New Career Destination with Yoga Teaching

If you can discover yoga for what it truly is, a new career destination will open up, that of spreading the light by teaching it to the world and share your own journey towards the Self.

Come home from your yoga vacation with a roaring spirit to live. This is what an ideal vacation should be like!

Come Celebrate ‘Yourself’ This New Years with Rishikul Yogshala https://www.rishikulyogshala.org/blog/come-celebrate-new-years-rishikul-yogshala/ https://www.rishikulyogshala.org/blog/come-celebrate-new-years-rishikul-yogshala/#respond Tue, 03 Jan 2017 08:18:03 +0000 https://www.rishikulyogshala.org/?p=3858 Yet another year, yet some more resolutions! As the old year comes to a wrap and a fresh sun emerges in our orbit, we look up with eyes full of new hopes and dreams of conquering all our goals and being a better and wiser person. Amidst all of these resolutions and contemplation, there is always that one factor ‘I will be healthier and more peaceful’ that all of us say to ourselves. This year, we, at Rishikul Yogshala, are trying to ensure that you live up to that resolution and plan your year ahead.

We have touched and affected hundreds of lives through the purity and wellness of Yoga and meditation since 2010 and as we move forward in this noble path of life, we wish nothing but the best for all of you out there.

We understand that not all of us are cut out for jumping right into a month long Teacher Training program, so we are introducing workshops and short-term courses based on the principles of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. The great thing about these programs is that it won’t take as much of your time, it will be easy on your pocket, and it will be taught by the same teachers who teach the TTCs and are highly knowledgeable and celebrated.

Come Celebrate ‘Yourself’ This New Years with Rishikul Yogshala

As the world gears up to celebrate the International Wellness Day on January 7th, 2017, we plan to begin the year with a special Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Training program in Kerala – God’s own country, and then bring to you something which has never been done before – a certificate course in Beginner’s level Adjustment and Alignment in our school in Rishikesh and in Nepal followed by a certificate course in Advanced level Adjustment and Alignment.

Come May, we plan to host a 200 hour Teacher Training Scholarship Program for yoga enthusiasts from all over the world who are one step away from their yoga dreams because of lack of resources.

Headquartered in Rishikesh, our school is known to conduct teacher training programs throughout the year – even when the others in line take a break. For us, there is no break to a way of life as magical as Yoga.

2016 has been a great year for us and we have touched quite a few milestones in the year –

  • We came became the most positively reviewed yoga school on TripAdvisor,
  • We earned 100 reviews on TripAdvisor, and
  • We also became #1 ‘Spa and Wellness’ choice for tourists.

So as we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the New Year with open arms, we would like to thank all of you – our teachers, our students, our management, and all of you well-wishers who have made it possible for us to reach where we are at this point in time and for your continued admiration and encouragement which has helped us plan a whole fresh year and a bunch of exciting wellness programs.

May our association last many more years and may we always be family.

We wish you a very Happy New Year and a Happy New You!
