A controlled breathing practice, yoga is known to offer a natural cure to breathing and respiratory issues like asthma, bronchitis, etc. By deeply working with the breath and opening the chest, making space for intercostals muscle, the yoga poses, breath work and meditation, all come together cohesively to grant an all time respite from yoga and its facets. Asthma works by inflaming and narrowing the lungs and passages, which leads to congestion in the bronchioles and reduces the lung capacity.

Yoga works by opening the constricted airways, stabilizing the breath, strengthening the muscles in the chest area. Here are some yoga poses for those who wish to combat asthma, respiratory issues, shortness of breath, chest tightness etc.
